On October 25th, 2008, the ATLANTIC TOP DOG AWARDS will officially take over the Atlantic Puppy Awards and the Atlantic Obedience Awards. ROYAL CANIN is the proud sponsor of this gala, extravagant, fun loving, exciting event.
Beginning with the Island Dog Club shows every October and through to the Saturday shows, the following year of the Island Dog Club shows, every dog that wins a GROUP FIRST and a PUPPY IN GROUP will get an invitation to attend the ATDA. Invitations will be available at the Island Dog Club shows, on this OFFICIAL Atlantic Top Dog Awards site & from the Canuck site.
The first ATDA was dedicated to Arlene Hood who was such a part of this venture and the Atlantic Puppy and Obedience Awards. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Warren and family.

Valerie Brideau - SBMPRODOS, who created the Atlantic Puppy and Obedience Awards website, will continue to volunteer her resources to create a bigger and better web presence for the Atlantic Top Dog Awards.
SO.................. we are going bigger and better. This will be the Spectacular show of the year, the BEST OF THE BEST, the ONE TO BE SURE TO ATTEND We will be having Rosettes and Cash prizes for the Best in Awards winner, Reserve Best in Awards winner, Best Puppy in Awards & Reserve Best Puppy in Awards. We will be holding actually two shows in one.
ROYAL CANIN has offered many other prizes as well. Be sure to enter for the opportunity to win. There will be four rings in operation with three judges in each ring; a CKC All Breed Judge, a CKC Permit Judge and a respected Breeder. Points will be calculated the same as the Puppy Awards are now.
Should you win a Group First and your dog is also a puppy (means you automatically win Puppy in Group) ANYWHERE IN ATLANTIC CANADA, then you would qualify to enter both shows. You would be required to complete two entry forms; one for the Puppy Awards and one for the Group First Awards.
Let’s PUT Atlantic Canada into the OVERALL Canadian picture. Let’s show them what great dogs we have in this neck of the woods. I pretty well know how everyone feels and/or felt about the Atlantic Puppy Awards so I am hoping that the SAME interest will be there so that I may continue organizing the Awards, only this time, they will be called the ATLANTIC TOP DOG AWARDS. Due to the number of entries expected in both sections of these Awards, there shall be two photographers.
PUPPY AWARDS DIVISION
Walter Norris has been the OFFICIAL Show Photographer for the Puppy Awards since it began and he will continue on taking the OFFICIAL photos of the Puppy in Group winners and Best Puppy in the Atlantic Top Dog Awards ,etc including all the candid shots.
GROUP FIRST WINNERS DIVISION
Cindi-Lee Photography will be the NEWEST Official photographer. She will be taking the OFFICIAL photographs of the GROUP FIRST WINNERS and the overall Group First Top Dog Award winner and all the candid shots.This will allow for both the photographers to take many photos, being as there will be four rings in operation: two rings with the Puppy Winners and two rings with the Group First winners. It is IMPOSSIBLE for one photographer to be four places. The Exhibitors should not have a long delay in having photos taken by these two terrific photographers.
